Pete's Tire Barns

The place is not as pretty as the big chain tire centers, but these guys KNOW EXACTLY what they are doing and have the right equipment to get the job done. I have a performance truck with very expensive black chrome rims that none of the chain tire shops would touch because they were afraid their tire mounting gear would damage them. They were the ones that told me Pete's was the only place in Central Mass. with the proper mounting equipment. I went to Pete's and they have provided flawless work for me and I will NOT be bringing my truck ANYWHERE ELSE for tire service.

Had a pin hole leak on my 1990 K2500 Silverado front tire. The tires are at least 25 years old as the unit does not get much use. I Took the tire off and bought it to the Shrewsbury branch. I figured it would cost me at least the price of new tire. They called me the next day to pick it up - cost was $27.26. They installed a new valve. I really appreciate the fact they did only what was needed at an extremely reasonable price. The crew up there was courteous as well.

I called the Shrewsbury location and got Bill. I asked him if they use road force tech to balance tires. he laughed at me. said no and hung up. That is how not to treat customers. I found Phil to be rude. I will never do business with them after my first interaction. I recommend to find someone else to spend your hard earned money with that appreciates customers and wants to be helpful instead of being rude and arrogant. best of luck to them. Let me add. I just received a call from the location manager. He handled the situation very well and it restored my faith in people wanting to do the right thing.

I didn’t realize how big Pete’s tire barn was or I would have asked the kind man’s name. My friend and I were stranded on the side of the highway in what felt like 100 degree weather with no ac, 2 babies, and a blown tire… a state trooper Mick pulled over and was helping us figure things out. We didn’t realize we even had a spare in the car. As officer Mick was jacking the car up a kind gentleman from Pete’s tire barn pulled over and assisted the officer including filling my donut with air even though I had a portable air compressor he got it done in seconds. We were stranded for a good 2 hours before anyone came to help so we are more than grateful and will forever recommend Pete’s tire barn bc of that one wholesome genuinely kind employee.
