I brought my brand-new Audi RS5 here for a cat back exhaust install. The car had 1,000 miles on it. This place appears clean and professional but is anything but that. The shop owner kept my car overnight, put four grown men in it and did some joy riding around Carlsbad. They did not even bother cleaning the mess they made in the car. I was charged $650 to install the exhaust, which fell off the following day driving to Hobbs Airport. I ended up having to buy new hardware and properly bolted it together in my driveway. I then had to take it to Audi, who charged another $800 to fix their mess. Do not sign any of their paperwork before examining your vehicle at pick-up. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I took my business truck in for sensor replacements and after getting excuse after excuse they kept my truck for 7 days! They also charged me for 3 diagnostics for this 1 job! They then recommended fixing parts my truck doesn't even have! I would never take a vehicle to them!

Worst shop in town. When I first moved to Carlsbad I brought my vehicle to Platinum twice. When I left the issue I had wasn’t fixed and they will run the bill up. In the 3 years I’ve lived here I’ve heard dozens of horror stories about this place. I’m convinced that no one locally carries their vehicles here. They solely survive off of customers from that are from out of town working here. The reviews on here are most definitely misleading and inaccurate. They couldn’t fix a squeaky door hinge if they tried.

Excellent service attendant with careful listening and solid accurate replies. Fast repairs. Comfortable seating with tv available and WiFi. Will gladly return. A refreshing change to actually have quality experience in Carlsbad, NM. Well done!

Platinum auto is the only shop in town that can do a good alignment. I have had very good customer service every time I come here. They have always fixed my trucks and got them back on the road better than ever.
