Petey, the Pittie approved! We have 4 family member's cars in their care. We brought our 65 pound, 20-month old puppy in with us last time. I love how dog friendly they are! Pomeroy's is a part of Livingston's history. I love the shop, i learned it used to be a carwash decades ago, literally, last century!! Walking in, my jaw dropped. They have the most beautiful classic pickup truck, and just behind that was another classic car, I'm not sure what kind but it was very cool! I wanted to sit in both!! I couldn’t stop stating at the truck. The care they have shown this vehicle is impressive!! It gave me the strong sense that they treat all vehicles this way.

I have now been to Pomeroy’s a few times with different vehicles I own and my experience has been great. Rick is very professional in all my interactions and very knowledgeable. He has replaced brake pads and even addressed issues with steering wheel vibration on my GMC Terrain. He had even asked me to come back to address any problems after weeks if I felt the need to. That tells me he takes accountability and ownership for his work! Other things I have gone to them for are oil changes, battery replacement etc and no issues at all. They are honest, sincere and will tell you what they cannot address as was the case for me once! Highly recommend!

- [ very sad to tell you this truth about my experience with this situation ] Two weeks ago, dropped off my car to the Pomeroy’s garage to repair . The shop owner Rick told me that radiator is not working and needs to replace a new one, and he quoted $1200 for repair. (finally, he charged $1299) unfortunately, the next day I took my vehicle back and saw some fluid on my driveway from my car. But I kept driving without noticing the vehicle’s transmission was damaged for two weeks. Luckily, Two days ago, I dropped off my vehicle to another shop to replace my brake pad and rotors, another mechanic found out the transmission fluid was leaking too much, they told me the radiator was bad quality , didn’t fit the adapter . Honest, friendly, reasonably priced and professional! My family has been taking its cars to Pomeroy’s Garage for many years both for routine maintenance as well as more serious work. Rick and Anthony are highly experienced mechanics, and we have never had any issues with any of the work they have done for us. They help to keep our cars in top condition. They are also refreshingly honest, and their prices are fair. We enthusiastically recommend them to all of our friends. It’s no surprise that Pomeroy's Garage has been in business for nearly 80 years. We are so lucky to have them right here in town! Highly recommended!
