This is LONG overdue…. When my mother, Dorothy Johnson, was first admitted to Presbyterian Village for short-term rehab, I didn’t fully understand the procedures or how rehabilitation facilities operate. This was our first time experiencing anything like this, so there were some misunderstandings in the beginning. However, as I researched and learned more, one thing that never wavered was their professionalism at Presbyterian Village. Even when I didn’t understand the process, the staff remained patient, respectful, and consistent. Because of my work schedule, I visited at different times of the day, and each visit was the same: the building was clean and welcoming, and the patients always appeared comfortable, well-cared for, and genuinely happy. My family and I had a very different experience, and I want to take a moment to give outstanding recognition to Mrs. Goodwin. She was extremely helpful, thorough, and professional throughout the entire process when we were considering this facility for our family member. She stood out in her patience, clarity, and commitment to making sure we understood everything. I would also like to recognize the other employees we interacted with during this time. They were all professional, courteous, and supportive, and they contributed to making our overall experience a positive one. Their teamwork and kindness truly reflected the values that Presbyterian Village stands for. I contacted this nursing home concerning rehab for my mother. I spoke with Margaret Goodwin, the admissions coordinator, who was very rude and nasty with a full -blown attitude and reluctant to provide me with a tour of the facility. After pushing to have a tour, I met her in person and she continued to be nasty. I knew at that point, that my mother would be declined based on our interaction. These folks discriminate and are very disrespectful and unkind! If they treat people this way before even admitting them, I can only image how they treat people once they are in house. First class place. I work in skilled care and assisted living all over the state. This is one of my favorite places to be just because of the environment. The staff is great and it is very clean. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for healthcare/retirement living.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't say enough wonderful things about Presbyterian Village Austell! From the moment you step onto the beautifully maintained campus, you can feel the welcoming atmosphere. The gardens are stunning, and the common areas are both inviting and thoughtfully designed. But what truly makes this place special are the amazing residents. They create a vibrant community filled with warmth, laughter, and camaraderie. It's easy to strike up a conversation and make lasting friendships here. There are so many engaging activities and events that foster connection and joy.
