Purcellville Motors

Kent was awesome!!! Very friendly and helpful!! Reasonable prices and quality cars!! I recommend Purcellville Motors to everyone! 43 days after paying 5350 cash for the car it left me sitting with no vehicle. Im changing the review from 5 to three stars until it’s resolved. I have to pay for storage, towing, and they couldn't put me in anything without a down payment and cosigner. They only want to give me 1000 for it now.

At best, Purcellville Motors is disorganized and unreliable. At worst, they are outright untrustworthy. Literally within the first 24 hours of purchase, the check engine light came on. I took the car to several different mechanics, and apparently, the catalytic converter was in terrible condition. I took the car back to the dealership within the first 24 hours of purchase. They insisted the car "would still run fine" and it "wasn't anything to be concerned about." However, in order to abide by law the catalytic converter needs to be in decent condition in order to pass emissions testing that is required by law. The car was sold with bad parts to begin with, and the problem was never resolved when I brought it back TWICE within the first week of purchase. They tried to downplay the seriou

I recently purchased a vehicle cash here. Kent was lovely to work, we had great conversations and he was willing negotiate on the vehicle price. This was after finding a few issues that weren’t on the listing, and they didn’t actually know about. It also took a while to receive the title. I noticed a few other people have issues with that as well. But they always would send replacement temporary tags, when asked until the title was received. Mine took a little over 2 months. It’s definitely a small dealership so that comes with its own kinks, so if you’re okay with a little different buying process I would definitely shop here if the deal was right! All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Kent saved our bacon after a terrible experience with another dealership. We drove 9 hours to look at a car that turned out to be a dud. However, we went about half an hour down the road and Kent had the same car but with 20k less miles, a year newer, and for about 2 grand cheaper. We purchased the car within the hour and had a great experience. We then drove the car over 400 miles through hilly terrain and it ran like a dream with no issues, so it’s safe to say that we made a great choice in buying from Purcellville Motors.

Looked at a Honda CR-Z that was mysteriously bought with cash a day after I tried to secure financing for it, and was repeatedly coerced into instead looking at a Buick that had 175k miles on it. In spite of no actions being taken, Purcellville Motors has run two hard credit checks that knocked me down 30 points. Do not look at this business' cars or give them your bank account information or they will spitefully hurt your financial standing. This place keeps a rotation of lemons on the lot and some haven't sold in over five years, like the Hyundai Sonata that occasionally returns to the lot. Stay away like the plague.
