I take my reviews seriously on here and I normally don't give a straight up five star, But I can't find a reason to not give them a stellar recommendation to anyone who has an import, but more importantly has a scenario where they require specific instructions and make it harder on the mechanic a little bit. In my opinion, this car is a daily driver that needed an alternator worse than bad and was not easy to install in my opinion. However, these guys had such confidence that it quite literally left me dumbfounded with happiness to say that they were not only courteous and professional and handled my anxiety over the situation extremely politely. But they were supportive throughout the whole process and they executed their plan with absolutely no issues. They broke nothing on the vehicle.

I needed a transmission repair -- that few shops will even consider. The work was done successfully, and when it was promised. The price was very fair and reasonable. A LOT more was done than requested -- and the cost was only a LITTLE more than the original estimate. I couldn't be more pleased. It is NOT EASY to get this quality of work and fair pricing from a car repair shop. Go here -- there's simply no good reason to go any where else in this area.

I'm new to the area and needed a safety inspection. I made an appointment which suited me, and that I preferred to the variable wait time of a drop in. I was pleasantly surprised with a charge that was half the price of what I'd been quoted by another inspection station. I like supporting a small owner led business that is friendly, efficient, and local!

I highly recommend Railroad Auto! I went there today for the first time, and will continue to do so. They went above and beyond to get me a battery and alternator on a Saturday. They are super friendly, affordable and within a few hours, even delivered my car to our door! We are lucky to have this business right in the heart of Stamford.
