Ray's Service

Ray is the best machanic ive ever been to. He works with you. He will make sure to get what is needed and most important to replace first, and then if you need to wait, he just makes you a new appointment for another time. You make an appointment and the work is done in one day. No i have to keep your car for a week. I went to him probably 7 times, and only once did i have to wait overnight because the part he needed wasnt delivered to him in the time the parts place said it would be. He even waited longer than he needed to, way past 5pm waiting on it. He was very appologetic but he had my truck done by 9am the next morning and it wasnt a big deal.

Ray's service was fantastic! They were quick, reasonably priced, and super helpful! They were honest about what needed to be done and I am very happy with my car. I am so happy to have found such an amazing mechanic here in CT. They are very trustworthy.

I go to Ray’s Service for everything on my Honda Pilot. The first time I went, I asked Jay to pretend that I am a family member (aunt or older sister) because I needed someone I could trust. I don’t have time, brain space, or energy to research vehicle maintenance requirements. The quality of work is top notch and the prices are extremely fair. If there’s something $big$ to be done, Jay will find the best prices for parts and even coordinates timing to help spread out the charges so I’m not ‘smacked’ in the face with a huge cost. Jay also NEVER tacks on ‘extras’ like dealers and chains do. (“So sorry, Miss, but your INSIDE cabin air filter is covered in leaves and pine needles, it needs to be replaced.”) I trust Jay implicitly with my vehicle, and therefore, my safety!

My boyfriend and I have been going to Ray's for about a year now (him a little longer) and have found them to be friendly, dependable, trustworthy, and fair. We have taken four different cars to them and had the boyfriend's mom take her car there, as well. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the problems each time. They are generally pretty booked, so it can be a couple days or a week to get the car in for bigger problems, but they still manage to squeeze us in for small "emergencies" like a leaky tire (which I just got fixed this morning). If you wait in the shop you might get a chance to talk cars with Ray or Jay and that's always fun, they've had some awesome cars over the years!
