Ron Tonkin Alfa Romeo Service

As much as I love my Giulia, I literally cannot get in contact with the service department after multiple website/call/voicemail attempts, even just for an oil change and inspection. This wouldn’t be such a nuisance if it didn’t mean I had to buy software, cables, and an obdlink just for resetting the systems’ service meter. (Over 100 dollars all together) My car has been reliable so far, but I don’t think I’ll purchase one again, strictly because of the lack of support in our area. If you buy a Giulia based on the dealers near you, and this is what you get - I would strongly recommend either not getting one or committing to self service and all of its hoops.

Like so many people, if I could give 0 stars I would. We have an alpha romeo tonale. Late last year there was a recall that made it very clear they did not want us driving the vehicle. When we called Ron Tonkin to get it in for service to handle the recall the earliest date they gave us was 8 weeks out. So...we waited 8 weeks and lived without a car for that time...for an issue we did not create. Now we are three weeks into their service work and still no car. Seriously, we've been out of a car for 3 months. Still have to pay all the bills on the car and can't use it. Be afraid of them. Enjoy such classic hits as "we'll get it tomorrow", "oh, the tech is looking at it now", and the always enjoyable "what part are we waiting on again it's not in my notes?". Seriously though, this service department is the worst I've ever dealt with. Brought my vehicle to them and had to re-state the problem four different times to the same two people. Have called multiple times and left multiple messages just trying to get my car in for service and no response, in person no one was friendly or helpful when recommending a body shop that can work on the car, for the car itself I’m not impressed and regret purchasing a Giulia. I would personally stay away from this specific dealer and the whole Alfa / Fiat brand all together.

Karl ( Svc Manager ) is a great guy and the best part, he got a Giulia for himself. All-the-more, a reason to believe in an Alfa.
