Schaller Subaru Service Department

Not great service compared to other Subaru Service Centers in the area. The service advisor I’ve dealt with is not very friendly. Each time I come to pick up my vehicle there’s always confusion and the first question is “who was your technician?”, I’m not sure. Service techs don’t typically introduce themselves, they take your keys, check you in and put a sticker on your car and move on to the next customer. During checkout, there’s never a review of what’s going on with the vehicle, they just tell your the total and want your money. Can you let me know what I’ve paid for at least? Find another service center that is equipped with the technology for today.

I purchased my new Forrester from Schaller and of course used their service department for regular scheduled maintenance. I have had multiple terrible experiences with the service department. First experience, they screwed up a hitch installation and had to end up replacing the bumper on my brand new vehicle. After purchasing the extended warranty, I was told that I could not get a loaner car for service. Most recently just last week I brought my car in for its 42,000 mile service and had the cabin air filter replaced. W Most recently just last week. When I picked the car up, I had a low humming noise when the air was on high. I’ll see if they can correct the noise but I would never ever recommend the Schaller service department to anybody and after this experience will never go back to S

Unfortunately it must have been a bad day for Jasmin the service assistant at Schaller. We came in for a scheduled appointment and were left outside in the pouring rain, I walked in and waited to speak and asked if the door was automatic since it was our first time servicing here. She rolled her eyes and said the door would open “when it would”. So I just let her be combative and unhelpful and moved on, telling my wife that the doors were supposed to be automatic. My wife backed the car up and tried to enter again and the door opened, no problem, those things can be weird. We get that. Jasmin does not greet us, does not ask why we’re in, just goes up to the car and asks if the keys are in it so she can take down the vin. I had such a terrible experience with the Schaller Service Dept. I brought my 2011 Forester in for a 11am pre-scheduled appointment on a Thursday to evaluate 1. check engine light and 2. coolant leaking. I didn't hear anything back on Thursday and I had to call four times on Friday to finally speak with a service rep (the secretary kept saying someone would call me back). I finally got a call Friday evening saying that they hadn't even looked at my car until Friday afternoon despite having made an appointment for Thursday weeks in advance, and they weren't done evaluating it, so it would have to wait for Monday. Terrible service and inflated pricing! Service department is fine but the body shop is awful. Took over a month to get an estimate on a very simple repair. Price quoted was $400 over what I got at a local body shop. Our first Subaru and extremely disappointed. Will not be using them for any future repairs.
