Service Center at Smart Honda of Davenport

The amount of incompetent people they have working here is astounding. My car was stolen and taken to their shop March 21. I didn’t get it back until June 10. They had me come up to point out sounds after they sent it home and it started smoking as soon as I pulled in my driveway. They didn’t know what the hell they were doing and it shows. I had considered just trading my car in while they had it but I wouldn’t even feel comfortable buying a car from them ever again.

Took my car there today at 9:45 am for an oil change and an AC diagnosis. It would blow out of all vents, face, feet, front, rear, all of it. Although it would only blow out cold if I were driving at higher speeds (on the interstate) otherwise it was hot. Asked for a rental and they said they didn’t have any. We didn’t leave there until 3:15 pm. They said it was the AC control module. My kids and I went to get in, and it is now stuck on defrost. It won’t blow out anywhere else. And it not getting cold at all now. We took it back right away and the technician LIED and said it NEVER blew out from the face. ITS MY CAR. I WOULD KNOW. Now the guy is saying he can give me a rental… Anyways, he did something to it and wanted to charge us 3,000 for a new AC module. Which I was going to until the

I had them look at my A/C system, as the car was not cooling well. They called me back and quoted ~$500 for investigation and repair. A bit steep, I thought, but hey the car would be fixed. When I went to pick up the car, the bill was ~$700, and they said that they couldn't find the small leak! They added a dye to the freon and said I could bring it back for repair (for more money) once the leak location is found. So basically, I paid $700 for a freon topoff that I could (and will in the future) do myself for less than $50 ??!!

Original review 8/4/22: Got a coupon in the mail for 50% off an oil change, so figured I’d come here to save some money. The oil change was quoted at $80, so after discount and tax I was expecting $42.80. Even WITH an appointment, it took over an hour and a half for an oil change, the slowest I’ve ever experienced. And with the half-off discount, the price came to $95… somehow MORE than the full price. I guess I won’t be returning. Edit 5/27/23: They offered me a free oil change after writing the original review. I decided to give them a second chance. Went today for a 12:30pm appointment, sat and waited until 2:15, then went to ask what’s up. She said it would be about an hour and a half.
