Service Department at GMC of Rochester

Dealing with Sue was great, but the service department was terrible. First they charged me $169 to tell me exactly what I told them I needed. They didn't fix anything, or even attempt to listen to what I had to say. Second, they did a " free" overall inspection of the vehicle and gave us a list which totaled over $ 7,700 and they didn't even drive the car. How on earth can you say my vehicle needs a torque converter replaced in the transmission, for $2,200 when they didn't drive the vehicle. Third, how can you possibly charge over $1100 to replace the brakes in a car. This whole outfit is a scam and I will be sure to let everyone I know, to avoid this place at all costs. Sam was very knowledgeable and approachable regarding my interest in the Buick. I was allowed to test drive two cars of my choice. Sam took the time to explain and answer my questions. I decided on the 2024 model instead of the 2021. He met with me when I returned with questions. He told me to be sure to call or drop by if I should have any other issues. Very pleasant experience. Ben was great to work with in service. Had a somewhat complex problem and it took several days to work through it. Ben made sure the problem was documented, the shop tech and Ben worked with GM to get to the bottom of it, they kept me informed of the progress, and it was all fixed and my vehicle is back to normal. They provided a loaner for the time it was in, so the inconvenience was minimal. I appreciate the good people at GMC of Rochester, always friendly and professional. Thanks for getting me squared away.
