My car was starting to shake/vibrate and I knew I needed to get something fixed. I initially took my car to another mechanic who gave me a long list of proposed repairs including new tires with a big price tag. They said the main reason why my car was shaking/vibrating was because they thought I had a bent rim on one of my wheels. I told them it was too much and they submitted a 2nd service proposal within my budget but not including new tires. Because I was not yet comfortable accepting their service proposal just yet, I decided to get a 2nd opinion and chose Shaffer's. And I'm so glad I did! This shop is great and highly recommended! I took my Subaru to Shaffer’s after running over a pothole and damaging one of the rims. Customer service was friendly and professional. They are an honest shop and after identifying the problem, gave me options and recommended the cheapest one to help save me some money. Turnaround time was fast, and their prices are very reasonable. I had a nail in my tire while traveling. I was worried about the shops telling me to get a new tire l, etc. to upsell me on the service. Stopped by the shop after reading the reviews. Very thankful that I did. The gentleman at the shop was straight forward and honest. He didn't rush me to get to the locking bolt either as we had luggage in the trunk that needed to be removed to get to the parts. Definitely recommend the shop.

I have been going to these guys for over 11 years! They are honest mechanics and pleasant to work with. They always give me great feed back on all my concerns. My cars all run great under their care. I trust them so much that I recommend them to all my families and friends.

Don and Allen were awesome. I was able to schedule an appointment for my 90k mile service pretty easily according to my schedule. They also drove me to and picked me up from BART so that I didn't have to fend for myself getting to work. I had told them that I was preparing to take a long trip in the car and they made sure to notify me of anything that might need replacement or maintenance like my A/C belt and tires. It's been three months since the 90k service and the car is running strong. I will be going back to them for anything else my engine needs.
