Used a VA home loan to purchase a home back in February. Decided to go with shelter for home and auto because they force you to bundle and they gave the most reasonable quote at the time. Well fast forward a month and they are now saying “the underwriter is not insuring it as has been for the past 5 years” even though NOTHING has been done or happened to the house. They are now trying to extort me for over 5k a year premium insurance plan. Forcing me to seek insurance elsewhere. Seems as if they LIED so they can get the check from VA mortgage team and then reniged on said contract hoping I’d agree to their predatory practices . If you are a new home buyer or veteran DO NOT even try to use shelter. Very shady, very greedy.

I had a car at an auto repair shop they took it for a jog ride ran it through the ditch and Shelter would not cover it so I turned to my agent and all he could say is call the adjuster he has no backbone if you want shelter insurance don’t go to him just call 800 number get it yourself the whole popular of having an agent it to represent You and could care less
