After having a couple absolute terrible experiences with another local repair shop we went to Son of a Mechanic based on a referral. I truly appreciate the level of communication and transparency, not to mention delivering on those expectations. I would absolutely recommend Rudy and will be returning.

Excellent service, fair prices and stands by his work. We’ve had nothing but a great experience from the first time calling Rudy for an estimate on some AC work on our 2016 Suburban. He’s responsive and calls you back even when he’s on vacation or out of the shop, which is more than we could ask for. We take all our vehicles to Rudy before anywhere else now and have been 100% happy with the work and service he provides. Highly recommended.

Great experience here. Rudy is very honest, nice, and helpful. He drove me home, which was so appreciated . Unfortunately, it turned out our issue was something only Ford could fix. However, Rudy gave us lots of helpful information, which ended up saving us $900 at the dealership that we would not have gotten otherwise. Will definitely take our cars here first for any future work.

Rudy is hands down THE BEST! Worth the wait to get on his schedule if you can! He will NOT try to get you to fix anything that doesn’t need to be fixed and his estimates are always super accurate. The only mechanic I’ve ever felt comfortable going to without being nervous I was going to get ripped off! THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST!!!!

So happy I found this place! To be honest I was unsure due to the location but honestly it is the neatest little shop! I tell my husband its the “shop with a view.” Its very clean and very professional. Rudy is very honest and upfront. Him and his wife own it and its just the perfect mom and pop shop you didn’t know you needed! Definitely recommend!
