These guys are fantastic! Monday afternoon I was traveling thru Chattanooga when the dashboard told me that the battery was not charging. I needed to go to Kingsport that evening and knew that my truck would not make it just on the battery. I have had my truck repaired at Hixson Transmission in the past and immediately called them. They didn’t make any promises, but were willing to check it out. I pulled in just after 4:00 PM and a technician checked it out and confirmed that the alternator was barely working. They offered to get it done the next day, but when I explained that I really needed to be in Kingsport and was not prepared to stay the night in Hixson and that I had my wife and grandson with me, they immediately ordered the part, and removed the old alternator. I have a 3.5 liter ecoboost in my 2019 Ford F150. When I was under warranty I had to have the cam phaser repair twice and right about at 120000 miles I noticed my gas mileage went from 19-20 around town all the way to 15-16. I’ve had it serviced at Ford on 153 for the life of the vehicle up till now and never had any mention of a problem. No trouble lights ever came on or indicated that I was low on antifreeze. I reached out to a trusted friend, Chuck Miller, and asked if he could take a look at it. He knows a lot about every engine ever made!! He took a look at it and found several coolant leaks. So I asked him to do a tune up and to fix those leaks and he gave me a quote and had it fixed rather promptly considering there was a lot of work needed. Was it expensive? Yes, do I mind?

I regularly use this business for my trusty 20 year old vehicle. The staff is friendly and professional, and as upfront about costs as possible. Communication is good when vehicle is staying in the shop. They stay busy, which is a good indicator I think, so be prepared to be worked in as their schedule allows. The bathroom is always clean and stocked with with soap and such. That's a plus in my book and seems rare for an auto repair business.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don't even want to give a one star. I had a free coupon for a free diagnostic told them what was going on with my car. This was 9/3/2024 they called me told me they couldn't find no oil leaks or anykind of leaks, couldn't find nothing wrong with my car to come pick it up. Even told me they cranked my car 50 times because I told them sometimes when you go to crank it ,it would try and crank but you would have to turn it back and crank it again. They told me my car didn't even do that but yesterday after cranking it 5 times it did it.Told me didn't even give any codes.Well here it is two day's later and had to get a tow truck, because my 2008 Ford Fusion Sel started smoking when I got to 5 and Below.
