Spittler Tire & Auto

This is one of those repair shop every small town needs. They work by appointment, meaning you can't always get your vehicle in soon, but the payoff is that your car isn't sitting in limbo, for days/weeks while they get to it. Most shops have acres of broken cars cluttered around them, not here. They have always gotten my vehicles in the day of my appointment (which may be a week away, at times), usually repaired the same day, or next, depending on parts being available. They also have dealer level diagnostic/programming software for many makes, saving a trip to the dealer for some repairs. They have always been accurate on their estimates and will contact you before additional, unforseen, repairs.

I have taken two different vehicles in over the past few years and they did an excellent job and the first one, they did not do what the other two facilities said they would charge me 4x the price because I didn't need that. They only did what was needed. I appreciated that so much bc I would have never known and they could have gotten away with it.

They're great mechanics and people you can trust. From my experience, they never try to upsell or rip you off. When my car had real issues, they always fixed them, and a couple of times they honestly said it was an easy fix, or nothing was wrong with the car, and didn't charge me a penny. Quick turnaround times, too, but be sure to make an appointment, as they have a lot of customers!

They seem to be a trustworthy establishment Just make sure you ask about ALL service charges. I got charged $25 service charge for asking to verify if I had a battery leak. Since I purchased the battery at auto zone, he said he would take care of it. Me, not realizing to ask if there was a fee. I thanked them for their service, but I had already made arrangements with auto zone and they would have replaced the battery (which they did for free) and installation- free. I just wish Spittler would have informed me there was a service fee.

TLDR: overcharged for coolant, didn't fix true overheating problem, completed work on the car before letting me know what the issue was. ... My car has been having overheating issues. I *just* replaced the fan and radiator, but it kept overheating so we knew that wasn't the problem. Someone suggested that we go to Spittler's so they could check it out. I dropped it off so they could look at it and tell me what was wrong, and I would decide what to do from there. First of all, they called me back saying they already did the work, they didn't let me know about the issue and decide if I wanted them to work on it. Second, they said the issue was due to low coolant, and (I believe) overcharged me for a "coolant issue" ($80). Third, that didn't fix anything at all! My car is still having the exa
