Sunrise on Providence

"We Love it Here!" That's what my mother who's been here since November wrote when we were joining her for dinner, and it brought tears to my eyes!! This "Hallmark Movie" as I call it finally has my mother happy, healthy, and being taken care of the way she deserves. Everyone here cares. Everyone here tries to make her comfortable and is accommodating when we come to visit! After 3 other facilities, I cannot begin to express how much better this place is! The therapy is wonderful - Nick, Samantha, and Michelle are amazing!! The hairdresser that comes every Monday is so kind and goes above and beyond to take care of everyone!! The lovely volunteers do nails for everyone on Wednesday and the Bingo and group activities and space for everyone to enjoy music and art are perfect and so appreci

While looking for care for a family member can be stressful, Sunrise on Providence had made the experience so easy. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The compassion I saw while visiting the facility was heartwarming. All our questions and emails were addressed in a timely fashion. The community itself was clean and pleasant to be in. If you are in need of an assisted living facility, I would highly recommend Sunrise on Providence!

Our family member had a wonderful experience at Sunrise. He was very well cared for, had great meals, and the staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend Sunrise to anyone needing this type of facility.

Mom resided at Sunrise on Providence for 4 months. During that time (2025) we had several conversations with managers, nurses and staff about concerns as well as real needs. We witnessed and experienced negligence and serious concerns about the physical and emotional well being of our mom as well as other residents. As a result, We removed mom from Sunrise. We were concerned about other residents at Sunrise. Therefore we advised DSS about our concerns. Additionally, per notification of family complaint- the Mecklenburg County Dept of Social Services ChildFamily & Adult Services substantiated 10A NCAC 13 F .0902(b) Healthcare alleged complaint Failure to ensure residents healthcare needs were met via letter dated 5/23/25. My Mom was a resident for 3 months when we moved to the Carolinas. She enjoyed the staff and felt comfortable there. The leadership team is the best part of this facility. They are quite responsive and demonstrate true caring for residents and their families. Mom was not real happy with the food, but she has had that same complaint of other residences. The residence is smaller and feels more like a home than a facility for care. Parking can be a challenge midday as that is when most staff is present. Mom was very happy with the physical and occupational therapy team and enjoyed interactions with front desk staff. Shout out to Beatriz, Donna, and Tina for all of their hard work to keep this a top facility !
