Super Shine Car Wash

I paid $10 to wash my car on August 24 around 1:40 through their touchless wash. I came out of the wash and I still had bird poop on my windows, bird poop on the side of my car and the top part of my car. The roof doesn’t even look like it’s been washed. There’s still a bunch of stuff on top dirt and grime. I basically paid $10 just to have my car run through water. Not happy.

My neighborhood car wash just installed solar panels. Not just on their west roof but on the east roof too. This will make me feel even better about washing my car. Now I know that some of the energy to wash it will be coming from on-site solar generation. I hope other businesses and homeowners will follow their lead and put solar panels on their roofs. This is a great place to get a car wash too. They have completely touchless bays which are great for not getting swirl marks and other paint abrasions due to brushes.

The best manual car wash set up in Ames, in my opinion. I don't know about the automated set up, but the manual wash set up is easy, convenient, and everything works. I've washed my car for a year here.

It’s a nice quiet place and if you wash yourself , it is cheap ($6-7)and your car gets sparkly clean !!Also environmentally better to wash here than your own driveway. Only the thing is each tool(washing hose, soap brush and air dryer )is quite apart each other, that takes your time. Be aware.

Always a great value. I can wash my car or my truck, including clear coat in the amount of time given when I deposit $5. The vacuum cleaners are only $1 and lasted longer than I needed to do the whole interior. Seriously, I hung the hose up and it was still running. Also, handy, located behind the North Casey's (the one at Bloomington and Stange).
