Take 5 Oil Change

I’ve been a regular customer at Take 5 for oil changes and usually have good experiences, but my visit yesterday was very disappointing. The employees were very condescending and spoke to me as if I didn’t understand anything about my own vehicle. At one point, an employee loudly announced to the rest of the team that my coolant was “nothing but water,” which felt unnecessary and embarrassing. Later, after showing me the dipstick, another employee asked, “Do you know what you’re looking at?” even though I had already acknowledged it. There was also a comment made about “coupons being available for people who can’t afford the prices.” I had called my brother simply to confirm the usual pricing because the amount I was being charged was much higher than what I normally pay. I went to Take 5 Oil Change and had a great experience. The service was very fast, and I didn’t even have to get out of my car. The staff was friendly, professional, and explained everything before performing any service—no pressure to buy unnecessary extras. I really appreciated how efficient and transparent they were with pricing. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quick and hassle-free oil change.

Soon as I pulled up I was approached by a tech who was professional and “Clear English” speaking ….. Yes! Very American! All the techs were professional and conducting themselves appropriately. While working on my vehicle I noticed how although they were changing my oil the techs were clean and worked orderly and I like how they kept communicating with each other about work. A great place for oil changes, tune ups, and other car services at this Mesquite location. I highly recommend this business and the prices are great and affordable.

I recently visited Take 5 and was greeted by Juan, who was polite and professional. Overall, the team’s customer service was fine and everyone was friendly. However, during the visit, Juan checked my cabin air filter — something that’s not typically done during my visits. He appeared unsure about how to remove it and had to go back and forth to the computer three or four times to look up instructions. Eventually, he yanked the filter out, which resulted in it cracking. Despite the visible damage, he denied causing it and instead focused on telling me that there was mold on the filter — which had nothing to do with the fact that it broke due to his handling. It was an incredible experience. The staff at this location was fantastic. Just go there knowing exactly what you need done. You’ll likely be sold on different things, but that’s business. Some things just need to be changed that you probably haven’t changed in a while. If they show you something that might cost more than you’re willing to spend, but it’s going to be good for the health of your vehicle, consider it. The upsell isn’t a big deal as long as you actually need it I really love the staff at this place. Everyone was super friendly and professional. I was happy to see that they’re a bunch of young men who are going to learn the trade very well and pay it forward in their own future endeavors.
