I had a pretty negative experience having my Model S serviced. I paid $2,000 for them to replace my AC compressor and a fuse, and another $380 to replace the driver window gasket. I was without my car for 7 days and was offered no loaner vehicle. I had to drive back because they forgot that they needed my key fob, after they told me they didn’t require it. I was called about 5-10 times during that week, usually for them to try to increase the price of the repairs which we had already agreed upon. I was addressed each time by the previous owner’s name and told that “it couldn’t be changed in their profile for that vehicle”. Tesla Service Duluth is a solid service facility with a great location that’s easy to access and fits well into a day of errands. Just be prepared that timing and experience can swing from smooth to slow depending on demand and availability. Located close to mega mart and some good Korean restaurants.

I had a great experience at the service center. I was in and out in about an hour. Costs were transparent. Cody was great.

Paid almost $9,000 for a “remanufactured” HV battery (invoice 3000-009-0028995301, September 29, 2025). Tesla’s own app message and service advisor assured me: “All battery cells are brand-new, only the outer casing is refurbished — same performance and range as a new pack.” Reality after replacement: only 208 miles at 100 % charge on a 2021 Model 3 SR+ that was originally rated 263 miles EPA. That’s a pathetic 79 % of original capacity! Even for a remanufactured pack this is one of the lowest results I’ve seen on Reddit and Tesla forums.
