My wife and I have lived in the SouthPark area since 1979. In 2023 after looking at 2 othet senior living centers we moved to The Barclay. We knew no one when we moved in to the Barclay but after almost 3 years we feel like we have been friends with the residents our whole life. It has been easy to make friends. There are more activities opportunities than you could ever take advangage of. The food, social opportunities and wellness classed are first class. We have loved living at The Barclay and have recommended it to our long time friends. The economic model of the Barclay was the deciding factor plus being able to stay in vibrant SouthPark.

Moving to the Barclay was a saving grace for my in-laws. They moved in two years ago not knowing a soul other than one staff member. Upon arrival, they were thoughtfully paired with a resident “ambassador” (a fellow German!) who showed them the ropes, offered companionship, and introduced them around—easing their transition. Within a month of their arrival, my father-in-law experienced a serious health crisis that led to his move to memory care at Briar Creek, the health center associated with the Barclay. What could have been an isolating and lonely experience for my mother-in-law instead became an opportunity for camaraderie. She met other Barclay residents whose spouses are at Briar Creek, and they formed a circle of support and friendship that continues to this day, including a weekly

We’ve lived @ The BARCLAY at SouthPark 3 months and already it feels like home. The Highly Skilled Staff is friendly and helpful w amenities that are endless including Concerts, Fantastic Resident Holiday Parties, Exercise Classes, Olympic Games, Transportation, Valet Service, all at no extra cost to all Residents. The Welcome when we arrived by all the Residents inviting us to join them for Dinner was a great part of it as well. Living at The BARCLAY at SOUTHPARK is a 5 Star Experience. So my advice is Don’t wait too long, hurry over & see for yourself. It’s definitely The Place To Be!
