I was passing through from Florida to Pennsylvania and I noticed a wobble. In a panic, I pulled up and they diagnosed the problem quickly. Bad news, tie rods and a rear tire was ready to blow! They caught it in a nick of time. They replaced the tire at a reasonable price and when the expert mechanic arrived he adjusted the tie rods and great news, that fixed the problem! I can’t complement this place enough. They really take care of travelers! If I could give you ten stars I would!

Had a popped tire on the interstate two hours away from home on a business trip. I called before having my car towed to check tire availability and was informed they did not have the tire in stock, but could have it ordered and arrived by the next morning. I had my car towed here and was greeted by friendly staff. The tire was ordered, changed, and ready to go within 18 hours of it popping. The staff at Thompson Tires even helped arrange transportation from the hotel to the shop in the morning due to lack of Uber drivers in the area. Wonderful and friendly experience! While I hope there's not another popped tire, if there is, I hope it's near Thompson Tire Discounters.

Absolutely the most unprofessional business in town. Went in there consecutively to get an inspection. They always cut it off way early. Refuses to do it by appointment. Kind of hard to do first come first serve when people actually work. Secondly took a vehicle to fix tire which was supposedly fixed, and of course it wasn’t. So had to pay for two visits since the mechanic took the easy way out the first time. Spent quite a bit of money there. But they lost a customer. Definitely will let friends and family know to seek somewhere else for automotive needs

In our time of need—during the Thanksgiving holiday break, no less—we discovered a nail in our rental car tire. Sherry Hall and the entire team at Thompson Tire Discounters in Wytheville were incredible. They got us in immediately, had the exact tire we needed in stock, replaced it, and had us back on the road within an hour. Everyone was extremely hospitable, helpful, and knowledgeable. We are truly grateful for their outstanding service and highly recommend Thompson Tire Discounters to anyone in need in the Wytheville, Virginia area!

Blew out a tire near town in the middle of a 16 hour road trip. We called Thompson while waiting for a tow truck and they confirmed they had our tires in stock. Thankfully Thompson was open on Saturday and got us back on the road in maybe 30 minutes. Ron and Danazia were both friendly and helpful. Would totally recommend for tires as they helpfully and competitively priced.
