Tim's Auto repair II

Broke down on the turnpike on my way to Delaware, dead alternator. Local Advance Auto confirmed they had the part, and said "it's late, but maybe Tim's still around." Made my way over there and even though it was 90 minutes past closing, Tim and a few of his crew were still there and quite busy, but still welcomed me in. After a small upcharge for late service on top of the already reasonable price, they got me back on the road same evening. Big thanks to Tim and the guys at Advance, they really bailed me out when I was in a tight spot.

I'm just going to say this! My experience wasn't the best and certainly not the worst. I don't think Tim has bad intention. A lil overwhelmed with the schedule. Every person will haver a didn't experience. My situation was with my son car. Tim took battery out to change it without my permission and the battery was misplaced(which had a warranty). My son car was there for a different problem which was resolved. Also my son battery was found some days later and I was able to get a full refund from where I originally purchased it. So I was satisfied. I'm however still waiting on a refund that I was charged a core fee until i return the battery that Tim had given me that wasn't mine. This shop was amazing. I got snowed in the area and while leaving my car outside over night my starter was fully shot. I called 2 other shops in the area and Tim’s was the only shop to even answer let alone help me with my issue the same day. I let him know that I had work the next day and needed to get back to DC and he told me not to worry. He kept his word and got my starter replaced and had me on the road. Phenomenal job by them.

Please read and save yourself. I do not write reviews lightly, but this experience warrants a serious warning. My interaction with this shop was one of the most disturbing, unprofessional and troubling service experiences I have ever had. There was a consistent pattern of unclear pricing, shifting explanations, and behavior that felt intentionally deceptive. I encountered dubious tactics designed to pressure and overcharge. At no point did I feel treated with honesty or respect. The female at the front desk cursed me out and gave me the middle finger multiple times and stopped as soon as I started recording with my phone. I was charged $601.47 for a part that cost $333.51. I was quoted a total of $1597.92 just to replace a module and a starter. I would have faired better at the dealersh

We were driving to Virginia from NYC to see family for Christmas. We stopped at a diner and when we got back in the CRV we had virtually no power (just crawling along at 5-10 mph)! I had this problem previously and the Honda dealer had the car for a week and found nothing wrong! I was starting to panic. I had no idea what to do. What was the problem? Where could we get help? Would we have to stay in a hotel? rent a car? Would our Christmas plans we ruined? We slowly rounded a corner and there was Tim’s!
