Honesty and integrity – that is what my mechanic had told me to expect from Tony and he was absolutely right. I had my son bring his AWD automatic to Tony. The transmission was in poor condition. Tony estimated the cost and let me consider the value of the vehicle compared to the cost of the repair. This would have been a tough decision except Tony and his team did a fantastic job on a repair on another vehicle for me in the past. Tony and his team were very careful in the repair and although they found an additional problem the repair bill did not exceed the estimate. I have a 1996 Dodge Caravan which had a deteriorating transmission. One day, the torque converter locked up and I couldn't shift into drive without stalling it. I called several places, then a friend recommended Frontier. I called and spoke with Tony, the manager. He was very helpful going over all the symptoms carefully on the phone. He helped me pull the wires to the electronic torque converter lockup clutch, which made the car drivable enough to get it to the shop. There, he took me on a test drive and explained what could be wrong. He quoted me a pretty reasonable price for a full rebuild, saying once he is inside the transmission, any part that looks worn should be replaced and it doesn't raise the cost much compared to the labor to pull, tear-down, and reassemble the unit. I could not have taken my truck to a better place. Tony & his crew were knowledgeable & so amazing in their customer service. They made sure I understood everything wrong & explained how they were going to fix it in a way I could understand. Pricing was also very fair. They care about what they do & how they do it. I’m very disappointed at the way we have been treated. Started off great, they got us right in with my Dodge Durango to run diagnostics on it. Jamie quickly gave us a $600 quote to replace the transmission coolers and lines. For our car warranty we wanted to see if it would be covered, so it was towed to a dodge dealership. After finding out it wasn’t covered we attempted to call Jamie back to schedule a time to drop it off to be fixed. After 10 total times calling TNT and not getting a single call back, we took our business elsewhere. Terrible job on Jamie’s part, and very unprofessional if a wrong quote amount was given. These guys were super honest about what my problem was and what would be required to fix it. They ended up recommending not fixing it (because the van is old and probably not worth it to spend that much money on it) and then not charging me for their time to diagnose it (which was a considerable amount of time). I have taken my vehicles to them previously as well and have found them to be open/straightforward then as well.
