Tonkin Gladstone Hyundai - Service

Brought my car in for an oil change. The service was fast and the service advisor was good. I made the mistake of not carefully looking at the service invoice before leaving the dealership and when I got home I realized the invoice said the wrong kind of oil was used. The oil cap and owner's manual clearly state what kind of oil to use. I called the service department and they said it was a clerical error. I was told the shop techs always use the oil type listed on the cap, but the parts department just entered the wrong type of oil. I don't know if the parts department is too lazy to fix this issue or if they're just reckless. Letting people think they've had the wrong oil put in their car is a serious issue that should be fixed immediately. It's surprising they expect people to trust the

Been here twice since getting my Santa Fe. First time was for the battery dying, turned out it was something I bought to charge my phone that was draining it. I brought it in 3 weeks ago for a recall and they said the part should be in within 3 or 4 days, and after weeks I called and they said the part was on back order and they have no idea when they will get it. They should have called when they figured this out, but just left me hanging. They seem like nice people, I just slipped through the cracks I guess.

Our 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 threw a critical code at 2,700 miles. Hyundai had it towed from our house to shop, diagnosed the issue, overnight shipped the part, and had our car fixed and ready for pickup in less than 24 hours total. Impeccable service and all covered under warranty! No haggling, no frustration. That's how a warranty is supposed to work, reducing the risk of leasing a new EV!

Very helpful this time getting the right part. However, I'm pretty upset that THEY ordered the wrong part and will not take it back because it's a special order part. What makes a car part special? Now I'm stuck with a $10 piece of plastic. 😡

I always take my wife's car here for service (She drives a 2023 Tucson Hybrid). Have always had a pleasant experience. The only reason I don't give them 5stars is that they are ALWAYS busy, and the service advisors seem to be moving constantly - never long enough in one place. I wish they would get more help for them. Otherwise, I would take my car here too, if it were a Hyundai.
