Toyota of Paris Service Center

Called the service center for a question regarding transferring my keys transponder to a new fob. Was told by a woman, can’t recall her name, “that’s not possible, you need to bring it in and we have to re-program the chip”. I explained very clearly that I still had my chip from the old fob, and literally just couldn’t get the chip out. Well after again being told “only dealerships can do that” I was able to get my chip out and placed into the new fob. I get they need to make money, but there’s a way to do it honestly. But just so everyone knows, it’s 100% possible, just a bit tricky!

Drove 3 hours to this dealership to get a 2022 4 runner that was in very good condition with no accidents or damage according to them over the phone. Long story short i go get gas as soon as i leave and noticed a decent size dent on the back left bumper that is causing the back left panel to not sit flush. The bumper is was also touched up where the dent is to hide the damage. Car is white so it was hard to see the damage unless you know what you are looking for. I notify them immediately but unfortunately i got there when they were closing so the guy had already left. Manager calls me on monday and tells me they touched it up and priced it accordingly so they knew about it. I have long been a Toyota of Paris fan and still will give them the benefit of the doubt…to a point anyway. However, we recently purchased a new Land Cruiser, and the brakes make an awful grinding noise when applied while backing up. We were told this was a common issue known by Toyota and that parts for repair would be ordered and installed when they arrive. I was not very happy that no timeframe could be given and after discussion with the parts department I was not satisfied with their response and wrote a review about it. However, this happened at about 6pm and the very next morning I was given a call from Toyota of Paris apologizing for the earlier responses and giving me much more information. They do not want to make any appointment to diagnose your vehicle . I called to make an appointment because of a seat belt code, and I am supposed to know what's wrong with it if I knew I would not be calling to make an appointment. Very poor customer service..

I would give them 1000 stars if I could! I cannot recommend them enough! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Rick is the one who handled our service and Glen the general manager covered the cost of our deductible and the cost of our drainage and recharging of our a/c system. I mean who does that?
