Transmission Central

We used Central Transmission located in Moosup CT. They replaced the transmission and torque converter in our 2017 GMC Sierra we did our research after calling around for quotes. Anywhere from $4500-8000, we paid much less. We were very happy with the service and the quality of work we received. Highly recommended. And it also came with a warranty. I’m pretty sure most places do, but considering this was not a dealership, we didn’t expect it.

Great place and team. They checked my truck's apparent rear axle leak They cleaned it up, inspected and said there was no need to repair. No charge. This was after dealer wanted to replace axle but couldn't manage it so wanted to replace entire rear end. Truck running fine no leak. Thanks TC.

As a traveling tradesmen I depend and demand alot out of my truck. So when I started having issues with my front differential Butch and Transmission Central came highly recommended. After having it towed in and having the truck a few days he let me know what I already knew front differential was done. He quickly had a replacement and had it installed the next day. When he test drove it he noticed torque converter shutter which I had thought was the front differential. He treated it with a shutter stop and it was definitely better. After a day or 2 I had come to terms that we need to replace it ASAP as to having the Transmission pulled out I had them go ahead and replace the rear main seal and oil filter diverter barbell as will. Took my Taurus in for new seals, nice guys & honest. Ended up paying less than I was quoted & one of the gentleman even helped jump start my car when I left. Will be going back again.

After buying my Denali and transmission faulting after only five minutes of leaving the dealership, bringing it back dealership, claiming to fix it I was left with the shuttering transmission within about a month. Between Constant slipping and shuttering, I knew the transmission was getting towards the end of his life and I was very hesitant on having the transmission worked on from being screwed over already By the dealership.
