Transmission Medics

Just started using Jon and his staff at Transmission Medic. What a refreshing and great experience! Everyone from the service manager Rachel to the owner Jon, was super clear and upfront on pricing, best parts choice and follow-up. Jon took time to personally thank me for my business. Don't be fooled by the name... this is fairly priced COMPLETE auto car. They were great working on one my cars, a 32 year old Miata, which requires some "old school" good mechanic's sense. For a new vehicle to an almost antique these folks are the real deal. Highly recommend. Call them... you'll be glad you did.

We have had great experiences with Trans-Medics. They go above and beyond for their customers and make sure you understand the work they are doing. We went to them for a full transmission replacement/rebuild in July 2025. They did quality work and were $4500 cheaper than Royalty Auto, who first quoted us. Not exaggerating. As of this review (October 2025) the transmission isn’t causing us any trouble. And if it does, the one year/unlimited warranty they provide will kick in. Big shout out to Jon, Rasheed, and Kirk. Great job!

Transmission Medic really helped us out recently. We were on a roadtrip back home to SC and the alternator in our van went out and we were stranded. They got us in quickly and had us back on the road in under 2hrs. Highly recommended!

Had the best experience with Transmission Medic! Brought my car in with the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and left with my car in MUCH better shape. The guys were able to fix it quickly and at a reasonable price. The customer service was top notch and everyone was so kind. Highly recommend this shop!

Read reviews first of all the transmission places in town and this place seemed to be the best choice. You never really know what to expect especially when you don’t really know what’s going on with your vehicle. I am completely satisfied with Transmission Medics, Mr. John, his manual transmission guru, and all his mechanics. Mr. John is very open, honest and transparent. He absolutely will not con you or provide any false information for the sake of making money. My car had to be diagnosed to figure out why it wouldn’t shift into any gears (6 speed manual WRX). As a reminder, you have to have patience with these unusual types of things as not all vehicle problems are cut and dry. For the most part they are and Mr. John at least had a suspicion that put him in the ballpark of what repairs
