Transmission Pros

Very long story but essentially after them having my van for a week I went to pick it up and Steve(the owner) told me he wasn’t charging me for what he did to my van. He was suppose to rebuild the trans and I’m not sure he did anything at all. He sent me pictures of it being worked on but the van drives worse than it did before I dropped it off with him. While it was under his care one of the windows stopped working and also one of the tires got a bubble in it. Things happen and I understand but he was rude when I asked about it. He didn’t tell me about the tire at all until I went and picked up the van. Steve made it seem like he was doing me a favor by replacing the tire. I originally had a good review because my transmission was shifting good when I first picked up my truck. Shortly after that the transmission overheated. The fix was to put a thermostat that would open up at a lower temp. I then had slipping issues a month or so later. It has been in and out about 3 or 4 times and is slipping again. It appears they are temporarily closed. I will probably have to take it to another shop and spend 6 grand somewhere else. The one time it was in his shop it was there for 3 plus weeks and I kept getting answers that it will be ready Tuesday and have to contact them the next Friday to get any type of update. Steve is an honest man that is very knowledgeable and conscientious. I brought my mother's car to him in order to diagnose an issue, which ended up being the transmission. He called me promptly with a price and completion time. The work was done on schedule and there was no deviation from the quoted price. He also called with updates during the repairs. The car is running great thanks to Steve and his staff.
