Transtar Industries had the transmissions parts I needed for the fix on my 1966 ford. f 100. It was great ordering the parts and walking out with them. Not come back after 3:00, etc. The counterman was knowledgeable and pleasant. The parts were reasonaby priced and good quality. Free parking at the front of the business.

Horrible customer service and low quality transmission. My transmission started leaking shortly after install and I went to do a warranty claim and I’ve been waiting for almost 2 months for someone from transtar to give a green light to the shop to fix my transmission. The shop and myself have called multiple times with no answers. I’ve had multiple people hang up on me. Overall very poor service and I’m still waiting for my transmission to be fixed.

Staff is NOT knowledgeable at all. I called needing a rear case bushing for a 4L80e. They upsold me on a sonnax no walk bushing. Guy on phone and another at part counter both said its a drop in upgrade everyone uses. Got home just to find out the sonnax bushing requires a kit with shims and a thrust washer. They didn't even upsell me on the right kit. Their prices are 2-4x more than you can find online. Why pay higher prices when the staff is clueless on the products they upsell?

I could not, in a zillion years be more pleased with the service, their knowledge of what they do, prices or anything else having to do with finding a transmission I desperately needed!!!! Perfect on all levels!!!! In a city where there are more bait and switches , scams, false advertising you name it, transtar is perfectly legit. There is no reason for anyone, whatsoever, to go to a different transmission place. First place I called (a Chevy dealer -Chevy Tahoe) tried to tell me that the part I needed did not exist and that HE had never heard of it. I come here , bam done!!! Too cool!!!!
