Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I went in for a routine oil change. It was also determined that I needed a new cabin filter. I had my own with me, which the technician offered to install. It wasn’t until after he put it in that he informed me he had to charge me for labor, which equaled the cost of a new filter- $50. He said he was being transparent. That is not transparency. After years of going to Valvoline, I will not be returning. This is not the kind of customer service I want or need. My money will be appreciated elsewhere.

I have gone to several Valvoline locations in the larger metro area. This one is the best. They always have the conventional oil (which is not guaranteed across franchises, apparently) and they always accept my coupons. Staff is generally cheerful and friendly and there is often no line. If there is a line, it moves faster than any other location I've visited. They actually check the tire pressure (again, apparently not standard practice at all locations) and they actually pay attention to the work they're doing. Thanks for being consistently great!

If there were a way to leave zero stars, I would. I’ve never seen a group of employees so painfully slow, distracted, and uninterested in doing their actual job. The entire crew looked like they were running on 2% brain power and 98% gossip. I pulled in for a simple service that should’ve taken 10 minutes and ended up sitting there watching a bunch of grown adults standing around giggling, chatting, and carrying on like they were at a high school sleepover instead of a workplace. Not one of them seemed to know who was doing what. They moved slower than wet cement, shuffled around like they were lost, and acted like customers were an interruption to their social hour. I’ve never seen five people accomplish absolutely nothing with so much enthusiasm. Not one ounce of urgency. Not one hint

Started going here when it was Oil Can Henry's but since Valvoline took over, it's really gone down hill. Stopped this morning after 8:30, drove in over the bell hose and sat there. 1 car iside, 3 in the employee parking area. Nomovement inside, noticed the OPEN sign was not lit. Backed out and left. Wen to the in in Faraibault and got the same response. 1 car inside, only 1 car outside. Time to go back to changing my own oil. Nobody wants to work anymore!

I went in for an oil change at 11/17/2025 and said and done it was 70 bucks. I went home and later that night there was a lot of oil on the floor. I cleaned it up and went back the next day. Bryce helped me and fixed the oil leak they just didn’t put my oil filter on all the way. He apologized and was very kind and didn’t charge me for him fixing it. I like coming here and getting my oil change done quickly but I just wish they didn’t mess it up. Still really appreciate them fixing it.
