Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Not the best location anymore. I got an oil change then a light came on saying I needed an oil change again. I called three times and they all said to go in person to resolve the issue since it's showing on my dashboard. I'm not a car person, so I don't know much other than the basics. I go and they said that because I said no to them touching that specific reset button that, that's why it was on. I explained that why couldn't that have been told over the phone to see if that was the issue so that I didn't need to drive over for that. I also explained that I've come to Valvoline for years and never have I had that problem. We sold our BMW X1 a couple of months ago and I guess there is a new owner who took it to this Valvoline for a service. I got a copy of the invoice to my email for today’s service and it of course had all of our personal information like our email, address, names, and cell phone number. Why would you assume it’s the same owner and give all of our personal information to this random stranger?! Please get our information off the account and make sure all of our employees check to see it’s the correct information before proceeding service! Today I had my oil changed at this shop. I repeatedly told your staff not to extract the oil from the dipstick tube, because doing so only removes about half of the old oil (around 3 quarts). I clearly explained that the oil must be drained from the drain plug on the oil pan. I repeated this instruction to at least three different employees, and each of them assured me that they would check it and drain the oil properly from the drain plug. However, they did not do so. Instead, they simply added new oil on top of the old oil. When they showed me the oil afterwards, they even tried to pass it off as if the job was done correctly. After they realized I noticed the issue, they only made a symbolic attempt to extract a small amount of my new oil again from the dipstick tube. This resulted in

I was received warmly and taken care of right away, granted I was the first customer of the day. But the staff was friendly, I was given an explanation of how the process went, and were given recommendations of other services that might be required. It was, overall, a nice experience.
