Verena at the Glen

We moved to Verena at the Glen from a single dwelling and we were quite surprised at the wonderful staff and activities plus the excellent food from chef including choice appetizers for parties. Buildings and grounds are kept immaculate.

I often teach art for the residents of The Verena. They have a very caring staff with a wonderful sense of community like a big family!

I have lived at Verena at the Glen since February 2024 and I am very happy here. Very caring staff work really well together. They treat residents with respect and concern. If a problem arises, it is attended to with concern and attention. The apartments are timely cleaned and the amenities are great. Having many appliances in the apartments for clothing and cooking (if desired) are very much appreciated. While only break-fast and lunch are served (they are varied and delicious), there is enough food to take back to the residents' apartments for supper if desired. Snacks are available at many of the events and also at certain hours. There are many special celebrations and events-- always something being offered. Interesting trips, and rides for shopping and appointments are given. A

I have been here since Fall of 2009. It started slow with about 25 residents for a few years. It was good that there was an influx of residents but becoming aware of the need for more space for the future. The sunroom was added to help the overcrowding of the dining room but soon noticed that it was not big enough. Dining room is used for many activities as well as lobbies in A and B buildings, Theater .

My husband and I recently toured the facilities after touring 3 other residential (with healthcare) locations. Verena at the Glen is head and shoulders above the others, especially if you/your loved one is socially active. The atmosphere was active with a nice, calm buzz. There was help available immediately, should you desire/require it. (And "we" are filling out our paperwork for Verena at the Glen as I compose this.) Kudos from this couple.
