Wal-Lex Gulf

Used to be able to silence the ads by pushing one of the buttons, but it looks like they've disabled that feature. Will get gas someplace where I don't have to suffer this annoyance.

Was here for a State Inspection- Quick and convenient!

You know, we took our car to this Wallex Gulf Auto Repair Shop for a leaking coolant system before a 300+ mile road trip and paid $800ish for service. After a follow-up inspection at a Chevy dealership, 3/mo, we were frustrated to find that none of the cooling system hoses had been replaced, and the same issue persisted. Upon contacting Gulf, we learned that there is no manufacturer guarantee on parts unless the work is done at this specific shop.

Nice guys, thorough and competent, but slow. I asked for state inspection, tire sensor replacement, and oil change, which should have taken 2-3 hours. It took 8 hours. They need better inventory management (calling ahead for parts that they knew they would need, based on my request) and their time estimate was way off. It's a gas station that needs more professional management. Would not recommend.
