Walmart Auto Care Center

Purchased battery for car which I elected to have installed. Battery was dead in less than 2 days, I uninstalled it had it load test at local reputable auto parts store FAILED -crank test likely due to bad cell. I promptly returned to Walmart for a complete refund due to battery being less than 5 days old. Auto tech at counter (will remain unnamed) but clearly unhappy employee tested the battery on his test equipment and stated the battery was good - nothing he can do. Well of course I stood my ground and got a MOD on scene. I had to push back very hard to just get a replacement battery- please note I was hoping for a refund- no go read fine print no refund on batteries (only replace if you're lucky) Also please note Walmart fought me on a replacement of a defective battery that was less t

Had 3 tires changed. Cross threaded more then 5 lug studs Notified me of one, store manager said he would pay for the fix Called, associate answers, and I ask to talk to manager. He says he's not in. Asks what I'm calling about. He tells me there's nothing they can do. The manager told me he would pay for it. I call back 3 times that day. Each time an hour latter. And get declined to talk to the manager. Don't let them touch your car!!!!!

Amateur hour at Pine City Walmart Auto Careless Center. Apparently you don't need to start the first few threads of the lug nuts by hand. Just put them into a socket and impact wrench them on. In their defense, I had bad wheel studs. Ok sure I had 2 bad wheels studs, but those sheared off and I can confirm those. The other "bad wheel stud" didn't shear off but rather had completely shredded threads. I worked on cars and have experience this a time or two myself. Schedule your next tire change somewhere else.

Rarely will I go to Walmart Auto due to the poor experiences I have had in Maple Grove. I was driving through Pine City and stopped to see if I could get in for an oil change. I was lucky, they had a no show and I got right in. Dan was friendly and showed courtesy and true care. I consider this Walmart one of the better ones in a sea of crud. Thank You!

They want $15 per tire to take it off the car? THAT'S THE EASIEST PART...! Get a life. Most shops charge a flat rate of $20 per tire to mount and balance. Not $15 to take the tire off, $11 to mount, and $14 to balance. I can't believe balancing costs less than taking the tire off. Balancing is the heaviest labor part of this.
