Great shop. Unless you buy a car from them then you'll have problems getting your car fixed

Went to get my left brake pad replaced, which was fine. I needed my car inspected as well so asked him to do that. Barely three days pass and my right rim ended up cracking, tire basically went to hell and I ended up spending a lot more money fixing an issue I never had in the first place/risked my life driving it after the car broke down on the highway. Called and he said the screw in the left brake calliper was loose but he tightened it…didn’t warn me or anything about a potential issue so I could’ve gotten ahead of it. Cost me so much more than necessary. Will never come back.

Stay away. Do not purchase any cars. Sold me a used Bmw x3. Car broke down 2 days later. Took it back to the shop where I was told he sold it for a “friend” who died after he gave him my money and I have to fix it myself. Total scam artist. Stay away from this shop with the fake repairs and fake NYS inspection stickers. I will be contacting the attorney general about this scam artist.

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at approximately 12:50 PM, I went to to Tariq Auto Service located at 743 Walt Whitman Rd., Melville, NY 11747 to have an annual NYS vehicle inspection on my 2005 Toyota Highlander. I left my car at the shop to be inspected. At 1:13PM I received a call from the shop saying that my car had failed inspection due to the following two reasons: 1. A license plate light was out; 2. I needed rear brakes. The shop said that they could do both repairs for the following costs and continue the inspection: $10 to replace the bulb; $130 for labor and rear brake pads OR pick up my car and pay the $37 fail/pass inspection fee. I paid the $37 fee and decided to pick up my car seeing as how I knew my brakes were adequate. I asked the shop owner, what the required depth for th
