#6 Gerald's Tires & Brakes

My visit to this Gerald’s was horrible! I’ve done business with Gerald’s at 3900 Dorchester road for almost 30 years. The service has been consistent for all these years with a smile. I went into my Gerald’s (3900) to purchase a set of tires however they only had two of the four I needed. The manager referred to this store that had all four tires I wanted. My tires have locks and they used my key changed my tires and went back to life (April 2025). My right front passenger’s side was running low. (10/3) I went into have my tire checked (warranty) and they could not get my tire off. I told the service manager the tool was in my trunk. He disputed my having locks. I went to my trunk and my sleeve was not in my trunk. They were the last tire team that replaced my tire. They told me that they

I highly recommend Gerald’s Brake & Tire. They were very honest with me when I came in to have my brakes checked. Dinah was incredibly kind, helpful, and trustworthy. She checked my brakes at no charge and even gave me a rose, which was such a thoughtful touch. As a woman, going to an auto repair shop can sometimes feel overwhelming, but from the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and respected. The receptionists were also very friendly and welcoming. This shop truly knows how to take care of women and their customers overall. I will definitely be coming back.

Excellent service and communication throughout my post accident situation. Vehicle was ultimately deemed a total loss not just for body issues but more importantly the thorough evaluation of radiator, transmission sensor and other engine issues identified by Gerald's. They were instrumental in helping me provide information to my insurance company that resulted in a settlement to help me get another vehicle. Never a bad experience here over decades of visits, would recommend 100!

I can’t recommend this auto repair shop enough. Their prices are always fair, and they never try to upsell you on things you don’t actually need. It’s so refreshing to find a place that genuinely values honesty and integrity. They’re quick, reliable, and consistently do great work. A special shoutout to Brittany for helping me out last time — she was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made everything seamless. I truly appreciate the great service!

I went here to get my tires changed, and I was really disappointed with the service. After getting them done, I noticed something wasn’t right — turns out, the tires were put on with water inside them. After numerous times of going back to have my tires checked, they just kept balancing them and sending me on my way. The problem was never actually fixed, and eventually, I ended up having to pay for new tires myself. This whole situation has been frustrating and costly. Mistakes happen, but this shows a real lack of care and responsibility. I just want other customers to be aware and double-check their tires before leaving.
