81 Speedway

Not something I've done before. When I go back I'll remember my ear plugs (but it wasnt that bad) and some clear glasses for the flying dirt. That said we bought pit passes and sat On the far side bleachers. It was a lot of fun

I had not been here in years!! So much fun to get out and see some fast cars! Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the show!!

I took my friend to the Late Models show on 10.4.25. She is fighting cancer and taking chemo and radiation. So, we go to purchase tickets and was told no purses or stadium seats allowed. 🤔 I then asked if they could allow just one of our chairs so my friend could be comfortable? NO was the answer. I was told by an employee the reason is to have more room to make more money. Wow, that shows a dollar is more important than comfort of a ill person. The area we sat was far from crowded. Had my friend not had her heart set on going I wouldn't had given them my business. Do better 81 speedway.

I have been coming to the track since I was five. From the Hall Family ownership to the F.O.E ownership, 81 Speedway is the best place to spend a Saturday night. My happy place.

Nice facility overall. Easy to find from the interstate north of Wichita. Plenty of parking space even at this special event. Sturdy aluminum bleachers allow for a great view above and around the track. I do realize this was a special event with the World of Outlaws Late Models and prices would be inflated. But the tap beer prices were borderline gouging. And there was no full flavor beer on tap, it was all Light. Funny thing was Bud Light cans were on sale for $2. Ha Ha Ha!
