Akua Auto is without a doubt the best, most dependable, and trustworthy mechanic in Kona. I had a starting issue with my truck that three other shops could not solve. I finally took it to Akua who diagnosed the problem in less than 24hrs, ordered the part and fixed it the next day. There has been no reoccurrence of the issue for 9 months since. I’ve returned to them for any car issues, routine or otherwise, and they have always gone above and beyond to make sure the job gets done at a fair price. 10/10 would recommend for any auto needs.

They fixed the power steering fluid leak in my truck for a fair price. They also respect your time, they had me in and out- fixed it while I waited instead of having me drop off early and pick up at the end of the day. They are honest and did good work!

I took my Subaru for AC repair; the AC is still terrible even though it has been in the shop THREE times. They said they put in three new condensers, but the fan barely blows and the car never cools unless I drive many miles. It does not cool down if it is in idle and even worse - when I am at a traffic light it starts blowing warm air. I am at my wits end as it's impossible to live here without AC - especially when I have the grandbabies in the car.

I had a great experience with Akua Automotive! Not only did they replace my brakes perfectly, but they also went above and beyond by fixing another issue I was planning to schedule separately—without charging me extra. It's rare to find such thoughtful and honest service these days. Highly recommend!

My jeep went down and needed to be towed. Fortunately Akua's was able to squeeze me in. They also have secure indoor space if you need to leave your vehicle over night. Turns out it required parts from Oahu which they received quickly and installed. Excellent follow-up keeping me informed. I didn't get to use their clean friendly waiting area but nice to know it's there. Yes I recommend Akua's.
