Alamo Rent A Car

I really wanted to share our experience in hopes that it helps others make an informed decision. We rented a car from the Alamo location in Seattle in early October. While driving into Canada, the tire literally came off the axle while we were on the road. We did not hit a pothole, curb, or anything. Even the police officer who stopped to help us said it looked like the tire had not been properly secured or checked by the rental company, meaning this could very likely have been a maintenance or safety oversight on Alamo’s part. The situation was frightening. We were lucky we were on a slow street. If this had happened while driving on the highway or at normal speed, our car could have flipped. We rented a vehicle at Alamo Rentals in Sea/Tac. We had a very smooth transaction at the beginning and also at the end of our quick trip. Both representatives had Great and Pleasant demeanor. The return process was quick and efficient. Things I do appreciate. Our Vehicle was very clean, dent free and of all tech’d up. Newer Nissan model. Thanks for having a cleaned car to get us on our way and on our way back. JP

Rental was fast and easy at SEA-TAC airport. You need to take a shuttle to the offsite facility, but only a 10-15 minute ride. Not many people in line when we arrived. It was easy to get our car. However, the car we selected had a small dent in the rear quarter panel. Luckily I took a photo of the damage before we left the garage. After I returned the car I was notified of a damage claim that Alamo wanted me to pay. After reading other reviews, it seems that most rentals vehicles upon return are reviewed for damage. Ours was not. The person checking us in immediately left and never looked over the vehicle. The damage claim didn't indicate what the damage was. They just wanted me to fill out a form to cover it, whatever it might be. I requested full information of the damage.

Had a fantastic car rental experience with Alamo at Seattle-Tacoma. Used the Skip the Counter option and was able to walk in and pick my vehicle and get on the road quickly. Return was also very easy. Jamie was very friendly and helped me to find the shuttle to the airport. Will definitely use Alamo again when I come back later this year!

SeaTac: Maribel at check was very friendly and knowledgeable. She provided thorough instructions on how to locate the vehicle. We located Alamo where the cars were stored and Willie greeted us quickly and walked us to our vehicle and confirmed the chronicle would fit our needs. He also proceeded to show us how to safely store our luggage in the truck. He was a joy! Thank you Alamo!
