Avis Car Rental

Never will I or my family use Avis again for work or pleasure due to the way our rental was handled. We reserved a convertible online for our vacation and after arriving at the Edison Mall Avis location I was told the vehicle wasn't available because of a recall to the back windows and that they had tried to reach me by the number on my Avis account. I later confirmed my information in my Avis account was correct and that I had never received a call or email. I was then promised delivery of the vehicle that evening but after waiting late into the evening I had to reach out for an update and all I got was they were working with the DM on the problem. The next morning, I reached out again and was ghosted by Katie with no responses to my text even after asking for a confirmation reply. H

Only one issue I had. The agent told me she put the fuel tank at half full, but only had 70 miles til empty when i got in. I let it slide. But when I returned it, the paperwork said full tank. I was lied to. Make sure your paperwork matches what the car reads, NOT what the rep says. Other than that. It was an awesome experience. Great price and my car had 503 miles on it when I picked it up.

I have nothing but great things to say about this location! The service has been amazing — both Katie and Ace have been wonderful to work with. My car has been in the shop for 6 weeks, and with an 8-week-old baby, this has been such a stressful time while trying to juggle school drop-offs and doctors’ appointments for my preemie. Katie and Ace went above and beyond to make sure I had a dependable car that fits my family’s needs. I am so grateful for the compassion and understanding they’ve shown throughout this entire experience.

First time and probably last using this branch. I had a reservation for a full size SUV 3 weeks ahead of time, while also being a president’s club member for years. In detail, the blonde lady at the counter: - Failed to let me know ahead of time that my reservation could not be fulfilled (just a phone call would be okay) - Not only downgraded me from a full SUV to a VW Jetta, but also charged me for an SUV - Provided a vehicle had significant exterior damage that was not noted on the condition paperwork (photo attached) - Was unwilling to help me found a vehicle that would serve my needs (I have talked to AI chatbots that were more helpful) - Recommended to use other brands of I’m not satisfied with their service Additionally, the gas tank was not full at pick up and within 50 miles, the

Dropped off key in drop box because the attendant advised me to do so for "my convenience". But now I am being told to go to their website to process a claim to get my money back as I am charged for an extra day of rental. Good thing I took pictures of the vehicle being in their parking lot as evidence of the return date and time.
