James at Tempe is a highly competent employee. He gave me one of the best customer service experiences I have had. After dealing with the most ignorant and rude people Sam and Zach at the Shea location, I was able to receive the proper rental car. Even the Avis customer service lied to me and said they transferred my rental form Shea to Tempe, when I arrived James said no that they did not complete the transfer. James was about to close and we were able to get everything completed right on time. He went above and beyond and I am so grateful for his abilities and knowledge. It is very unfortunate that not all Avis are the same and you will not receive good care unless you visit James. His boss should give him a raise. Worst customer service! Booked a business ride and have never had any issues till now. The representative was asking for proof that I work for the company whose AWD code was used for booking. I just couldn't convince the representative that I work at the company despite showing multiple verifications. I've never had such issues at other locations!!

We came in to add me as a second driver to a car rental we had at the airport. The young lady who assisted us was pleasant, attentive, and, above all, didn’t charge us for the service.

I rent here quite often and these guys are awesome. Always pleasant and fast getting you checked in and out. They usually have a nice variety of cars. Even during heavy tourism times. Couldn't recommend them more to anyone. Also, if you have a Costco account book thru their Costco Travel system. They literally have the cheapest non-corporate pricing. I booked a convertible mustang on the big island in Hawaii 3 years in a row for about 40 dollars a day off-peak. You can book without paying first so get your deal then keep watching for a lower price each day. They change prices often so if you get a better price just cancel the old reservation. I've done this many times and saved big. They also compare several rental agency's prices like avis enterprise dollar and alamo.

Highly recommended. The owner is there personally handing over the keys and i got a nice upgrade to a Buick enclave 2022 model for my month long rental!
