I strongly warn people to stay away from Bay Transmission in Bay City, owned by Bob. I paid a large amount of money for transmission work and was assured the repair was reliable and backed by a warranty. In less than 5,000 miles, the transmission completely failed again, leaving my vehicle inoperable. When I returned to have the issue addressed, Bob refused to honor the warranty. That is unacceptable for a repair of this size and cost. A transmission should last years, not a few thousand miles. Instead of taking responsibility, I was met with poor communication, no clear answers, and a complete lack of accountability. Bob is a class act treats you how he would like to be treated. Good honest auto repair. Thankful I can trust Bay Transmission to shoot it to me straight. I will always take me vehicles here and recommend them to everyone good, reliable, honest work.

Horrible people to deal with $4400 transmission that they rebuilt didn’t have 6000 miles on it and it started going out and they did nothing about. It said somebody did something to the truck was never beat on never pulled a trailer all around shitty people avoid them.

Over promise, under deliver. Purchased a new transmission in 2018 which went from a week and a half to around 3 weeks. Brought in for shifting issue at around 70,000 miles and told it was still under warranty, after 2 weeks was told that it needed new engine mounts with no transmission diagnosis. After expensive engine mounts replaced, brought it back with same issue. No diagnosis and now told it was not under warranty, and “might” be able to sell us a kit to have it rebuilt, in which never became available. Each time we took it there including the initial purchase, we were never contacted as to the long overdue delays. Each time we had to call multiple times only to get more excuses and false hope.
