Blue Haven Memory Care - Dallas

It was the most difficult decision I ever had to make when considering moving my husband to Blue Haven. He had a hard time adjusting to his new surroundings and was quite a challenge for the staff at the beginning. I know they had their hands full, that's for sure. As time went on, I can see he's turned a corner and is doing so much better. For that I want to give special thanks to ALL the staff for taking care of my husband's personal needs, being attentive, and the patience they're shown him. I no longer feel the guilt I experienced when first making the decision that I was unable to care for him myself. Blue Haven has been a Godsend to say the least. My Mom is in Blue Haven Memory care and I am pleased with the care she is receiving. All her care givers are very pleasant and seem to take Moms personal needs into consideration. They have been prompt in letting me know of any situation that Mom is dealing with and are eager to involve me in a solution to make her more comfortable. I would recommend Blue Haven to anyone searching for a “Home” for a loved one in need.

Having to put my brother in Memory Care was a difficult but necessary decision. I toured other facilities and have 40 years of medical background, Blue Haven was a blessing to find. My brother couldn’t be in better hands. The staff are kind, well trained, and attentive. The place is designed to be a home for the residents, they are cared for as individual people all with different needs, not like sheep being heard around. Families and friends are welcome to visit, the residents are happy and treated with respect and dignity. They staff go above and beyond to make living at Blue Haven their home..

My wife, Jean, was a patient at Blue Haven for several years until she passed. I cannot hardly begin to express my deepest gratitude to Katherine Rivera and her staff for the quality of care and the love that was shown to my beloved, wife. No one wants their loved one to be in a Memory Car facility but if I had it to do it over, I would have my Jean in this facility. She was loved and respected by the staff. Every facility will have some bad apples but when they were discovered, Katherine quickly got rid of them. I will always be grateful.

Money doesn't appear to be the main motive behind the operation of Blue Haven. Lyle's has had use of a toilet seat and hospital bed/mattress with no extra charge. In fact, unlike my prior experience, I haven't been charged any extra fees or costs. Their "mission statement" in actual fact is based on responsible, skilled and caring people helping residents and their families in need. When Lyle's LTC insurance was very slow remitting a monthly check, I did not receive any pressure nor was charged any extra fees or interest. Also, in contrast with my prior experience, I have had assistance each time I've needed to take Lyle to an appointment. I really am so happy and appreciative of the staff and administration of Blue Haven.
