Budget Car Rental

DO NOT EVER BOOK A CAR WITH BUDGET!!! We had a prepaid reservation and an active account, yet somehow that meant absolutely nothing. After arriving on time, we were forced to wait over an hour because the vehicle we reserved was “not ready.” What exactly is the point of reserving and prepaying if the company can’t honor it? Because of this delay, everything around us closed. We ended up with no food for the night after a long day of travel — all because Budget couldn’t manage basic scheduling. And the cherry on top? The car we finally received was in terrible condition. It was dirty, poorly maintained, and absolutely not what you expect when paying in advance for a confirmed reservation. We rented a car here for two weeks. When we went to pick up the car the lady who helped us was very nice. However when we got out to the parking lot other people were getting into the car assigned to us. Someone in the parking deck had assigned them our car because someone had taken their car. I had to walk all the way back up to the office ans get another car which we said we didn't like the make/model of but had no other options. While we had the car we found lipstick in the center council, eye lash liner under the seat and junk in the dash. It was obvious someone didn't do a good job cleaning it. December 2025. I joined fast break few years ago, but this trip is first time I felt like that means something. They sent me a text with location of car and QR code to scan to exit. Never had to even speak with anyone. Fastest car pickup ever. I hope they keep this up with all locations.

I had booked a rental for "Elite standard SUV" through Costco. But at the counter they only had either standard SUV or premium. They refused to give me the premium and when I showed them the description on my phone of what I had reserved they said that was wrong, I had not booked anything more than standard. Two of them ganged up on me from behind the desk to the point where I finally raised my hands in submission and said okay I'll just take the standard. At that point they determined that I had abused and disrespected them (I had never raised my voice, had never used abusive language, had never made it personal).
