Budget Car Rental

Highly recommend Budget Car Rental. They had a daily rental amount for a full size Toyota that fit my insurance allowance. Pick up and drop off was seamless.

Terrible experience. We booked a car for 4PM on Saturday last week, but the local Budget team decided to close the operation, even with numerous booked cars to be picked up, so we had to book ultra expensive Ubers to make it to Provincetown. Total disaster with no accountability and no way to contact them. Avoid at all costs or at least wait until they go bankrupt and are replaced by an actual functional car rental option.

I made a reservation for a pickup truck, and when I arrived they said they only had one electric pickup truck. I was traveling to Florida, and there was no way I could stop every 300 miles and wait 5 hours to recharge. The attendant said there was nothing he could do because there was no car available, but he was still releasing the car to other customers. I said that it could be a lower-end car, but it had to be a gas-powered one. He said he had an SUV, but I would have to pay a much higher price (and SUV is a lower category than the one I had reserved). I said I wouldn't pay more because it wasn't fair, and the attendant was very rude, saying that there wasn't any and that I should leave or she would call the police. Good cars, better prices and the customer service is better than the competitors. The lady at the Hyannis airport is super helpful and informative. Will update with a name upon next rental lol.

My partner and I booked a one way rental for Sat July 6th. Unfortunately, our HyLine ferry was over an hour late departing and we weren't going to make it to the airport before the rental car counter closed at 4pm. Staff at Budget agreed to wait and, when we arrived at 4:25, were able to quickly find our reservation, find a vehicle (with a free upgrade!) and have us on our way by 4:45. We're incredibly grateful for their flexibility, professionalism, courtesy, and care. A fantastic experience. (and for any reviews knocking Budget for cancelling a reservation - CALL AHEAD NEXT TIME! We booked and prepaid and still called ahead so they'd know we'd be arriving late rather than a no-show)
