Budget Car Rental

Avoid this place at all costs. Waited 4.5 hrs in line. Only 2 employees working the counter with a never ending line that was wrapping around the building and onto the street. Everyone in line had prepaid reservations so its not like they didn't know the volume to expect. Just look at those poor kids passed out on metal chairs while their parents wait in line to start what's supposed to be a relaxing vacation. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION

Super long lines to get car, had 3 jeeps first one we refused, filthy inside never even looked like it was clean, gave us a second one maybe a tad bit cleaner but after waiting an hour , we took it and returned the next day for yet another jeep, the seats were stained with white makes from water the carpets were not clean and had an odor and the next day had a small fire ant episode , not fun they were running the floor boards and got stung 6 times. Despite using Budget In the past, it will not be my go to car company. on Kona. Gave two stars due to the quicker response from customer service to return the second jeep with no charge for the third one.

I've gone to Hawaii several times and I've rented a car there. I've had the same experience every time very long. Lines, cars are not ready. This car didn't have any window wiper fluid... I just recently visit on 17th of February. I was in line for more than an hour. The staff is nice. Not a problem there. But seems there's not enough staff I'm not sure what the issue is.But really, you need to do better...

Wait time to get to the counter was 3.5 hrs. I don’t think standing in line with kids and other exhausted travelers for 3.5 hrs was worth saving a few dollars. There were 2 individuals working the counter. One lady seemed pretty efficient. The other gentleman was helping customers but he would be on the phone calling someone when assisting the customer. If an individual ended up being called up by the gentleman, they would be stuck with him for 30 min or so. The lady working the counter was kind and we got our keys with 10-15 min. Clearly this is a corporate staffing issue. Our car was pretty new and we experienced no issues. Drop off was easy. I don’t rent through Budget often and this may be my last. Between long flights, layovers, and delayed flights, the last thing I want to do is stan

Unfortunately there was 3 back to back flights so had to wait almost 2hrs to get my rental car.It wasnt their fault they had 4 people doing their best maybe they should expand and hire 4 more people to take in customers faster.We had more than 50 people ahead of us and another 50 after.
