I wish I could give negative five stars because when you tell a senior citizen that they need a $4,000 engine swap because their engine is smoking a bit because of a leaky valve cover gasket you're pretty disruptible. It did happen it was a family member and I hope this causes people to think twice before they use this shop. There are plenty of reputable mechanics around here who are honest about their diagnosis and aren't trying to make a quick Buck off of somebody by taking advantage of them. This very scenario reminds me of some chain tire shops or lube shops that try to hit somebody with a list of 10 items or more that they need to have done to their vehicle or they will not release it back to them. Stopped by there a while back, maybe about 4 months ago, think on a Monday, made a appointment on Friday i think for the car, seemed good, when I showed up the door was locked, he was out back sitting down laughing with some people, comes to the door and tells me he doesn't have time, doesn't say sorry or can we reschedule, I said thank you an left

On the last day of our 1500 mile road trip we blew a tire on 81 north. It was well after dinner time on a Thursday and almost all businesses had closed. We weren't sure where we would find a shop that carried a low profile tire let alone replace it first in the morning so we could drive our last 250 mile stretch home. I found Buena Vista Auto Center on google and called the number knowing it would be closed. The message on the answering machine gave me a number if I needed a tow so I hesitantly called the number to ask for suggestions knowing the spare tire wouldn't last the rest of the trip. A very friendly gentleman Named Dennis answered whom I learned later was the owner of the shop. He told me he didn't carry my tire and offered another shop where I might be able to get the work I need

AAA service from this shop didn't show up for 4 1/2 hours in the cold. I was freezing and it took the fellow only 5 minutes to jump my car. He thought it was funny. By the way, I was undergoing chemo. We will never go near this station and I am going to let AAA know about this.

I bought a set of tires here and the cost of the tires was very competitive. However, I got the high pressure sales pitch to fill up with nitrogen (I declined once for each tire). Then I was told that I need to come back every 3,000 miles for tire rotation or the tire warranty (might) not be valid. At the same time I had the vehicle inspection done. I told them that the rear brake light was out. They charged me an additional $15 to align one head light which I am 98% sure they did not and they missed the tail light! Probably a good thing that they missed the tail light as I fear the charge would also be exorbitant. I replaced the tail light myself and saved untold $$$. I will not be a repeat customer there...
