I've had very good, honest experiences with this family-owned shop. They're very knowledgeable and seem to care about their customers. I've never felt scammed here. I will continue to rely on them for all my car repairs/issues. Thanks for being a reliable car shop in a sea on untrustworthy places :)

So I took my 09 camery in for the 99 dollar fall special, oil change, wipers, anti freeze flush, inspection. Great deal but it was closer to 150 bucks due to the fluid disposal, they should say that on the flyer. Still not a bad deal. The biggest reason why I am posting this review is, if you need brakes, DO NOT take your car here. I knew that I was going to need brakes soon, and they gave me a quote. Keep in mind that I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, another reason I am writing this review. They wanted 1587.64 bucks for both front and rear brakes, alot of that was new rotors because they don't have the capability to resurface rotors, so they toss perfectly good rotors. I found Carsmart to be such a lovely place to come in, despite not being very experienced with cars or car maintenance. They were able to give me a pretty great price for an oil change, new wipers and coolant, and a very detailed inspection of my cars health that was texted to me, and they were even able to see me the same day before closing. They were very accommodating and professional, I never felt like I was being pressured to spend more money, they really seemed interested in just letting me know how my car's doing, how much of a priority different things are, and how to keep my car from failing anytime soon. I will start by saying the counter staff was very polite and helpful. We took our GX460 in for an oil change and were quoted for a brake job they found during their inspection. I was told that the front pads were at 4mm and near needing to be replaced. The quote was for $1,286 before tax. They quoted parts at $508 for rotors and $143 for pads. I was surprised at the cost and asked if they were using OEM parts. The reply was "no, those are far too expensive. We are using Power Stop." I found the exact power parts in a kit from Autozone for $238. I then got a quote from Lexus in Fife. One would think that they would be more expensive since they are using OEM parts that the Car Smart employee said were "to expensive." Turns out the quote from Lexus was $617, which includes turning

This place feels more like a car dealership than a mechanics shop. Keep in mind Car Smart is a nationwide chain and their sales guys and technicians are two separate roles. Prices for parts and work are HIGH, but turn around time is very good so I will commend them for that. Just don't go into this experience expecting to have a conversation with a certified mechanic. Im not even sure who the certified mechanic is at this location... Anyways the people here are nice enough, but at the end of the day they are in the business of turning a profit. Im pretty sure the sales guys make commision or have a quota to hit. I get it everyones gotta make a living, but I'd rather give my business to a mom and pops shop with a personable mechanic if the turn around times are reasonable.
