Costco Tire Service Center

If Costco Tire Center is not going to honor scheduled appointments, why do they require customers to make them? I had an 11:30 AM appointment and even arrived early at 10:00 AM to ensure my tires could be installed on time. Despite this, they did not start working on my car until 1:20 PM. In the meantime, I watched them take multiple walk-ins ahead of me. It was completely unfair and totally unprofessional. I have been a Costco member for six years, and the reasonably priced tires used to be one of the main reasons I kept my membership. After this experience, that is no longer the case. After this unfair treatment, I ended up returning all the items I had purchased that day and ultimately cancelled my membership altogether. I ordered my tires through Costco.com to be shipped to the Costco warehouse in Camillus. I received updates on the tire shipping status including when they were delivered. Scheduling an appointment online for tire instal was easy. I arrived at the tire center at my scheduled time and 1 hour later I drove off with my new tires on the car. The entire experience was pleasant.

Order my tires $1140. It took over 3 weeks for the tires to arrive. Made an appointment for 12:15 . Showed up at 11:40 . A sign 3ft x 2ft says for members with appointment only key drop off . Approached the counter to drop keys and was told that I would have to get in line with everyone else who were either buying tires or trying to make an appointment. Waited patiently for 20 minutes. Got up to counter and asked the representative why have the sign if it is not a key drop for members who already have appointment. Representative had no answer other than excuses . He then informed me they were running 2 -2.5 hours behind . Purchased tires here and been back twice for rotation & balance. I thought waiting 4 hours for tires to be installed was a little much. Both times I’ve been back for rotation and balance it’s taken nearly 3 hours. All 3 times I had scheduled appointments. No one at the tire center cares or has a sense of urgency. They need leadership here that cares and steps up. I will never purchase tires here again. Terrible experience. Thought once was acceptable, twice was ridiculous, and 3 times they are out. Love Costco, despise their tire center. Go to BJ’s or your local repair shop and save yourself the aggravation.

Dont come here unless you can drop off your car. Got here 2.5 hrs ago. Was told it would be about 2 hours. Just went to the counter because they haven't even started my car and was told a machine went down. No call no heads up. The lady at the counter said she waited 5 hours. What's the point in appointments is they are soooooo far off? I understand things happen but most places plan for that. Last time I get my tires from Costco
